(Late) Wednesday Cover: Mike Danger

This week, I've got one of my favorite Eduardo Barreto covers from the mid-90s Tekno•Comix series, Mickey Spillane's Mike Danger. Written by Max Allan Collins, and illustrated by Barreto, I have a special fondness for this series, as it was one of the monthly titles I edited during my tenure at the aforementioned Tekno. Based loosely on Mickey's original Mike Danger comics character from the 40's, this version had the Hammer-like gumshoe transported to a politically correct, Buck Rogers-styled future via cold sleep. It was a fun book, and a pleasure to work on.

I also like this cover because Eduardo graciously gave me the original art as a gift, and it hangs proudly in my living room.
